“The peacock is a symbol of integrity and the beauty that can be achieved when we endeavor to better ourselves” ~ Avia Venefica
I love the symbolism of the enigmatic peacock so much that in 2012 it not only became my business logo but also a personal totem and a the whole inspiration behind my work in the world; it’s symbolism continues to inspire me. This flamboyant creature is the modern day representation of the mythical, alchemical symbol of the phoenix. The phoenix symbolizes the ability to rise above difficulties.
The phoenix is consumed by her own fire and then rises from her ashes. She is reborn anew, never dying, but always reinventing herself. This is how I see your strength as a woman and the power of your continual reinvention!
The fire that consumes you and causes your rebirth is the fire of self-awareness and personal growth. It is only by stepping into the truth of who you really are, taking responsibility for your life that you can hope to make lasting change.
The peacock does not shy away or play small… it stands proud in all it’s glory declaring its presence and place in the world. It is a symbol of renewal as well as a symbol of integrity and awakening, just like the phoenix.
Each of us has our own fire to burn, our own ashes to rise from…
